Companies gear up for wellness, friendly rivalry and fun
Lincoln, Neb. (Aug. 4, 2026) —The Nebraska Sports Council has announced the start of the 2026 Lincoln and Omaha Corporate Games, a three-month series where companies in each city compete in a variety of events designed to build teamwork, promote wellness and foster friendly competition.
The Lincoln Corporate Games begin Saturday, August 8 with bowling. A total of 47 companies will participate in Lincoln, competing in cornhole, mini disc golf, trivia challenge, pickleball and several other events through October 6.
The Omaha Corporate Games will kick off Wednesday, August 12, with cornhole. Twenty-three companies will compete in Omaha, participating in bowling, sand volleyball, trivia challenge, golf scramble and several other events through October 8.
New this year, the Lincoln and Omaha Corporate Games are introducing the Blood Donation Challenge. In partnership with Nebraska Community Blood Bank, companies can make a lifesaving impact by donating blood while earning points toward the Corporate Games standings.
The Canned Food Drive returns to both the Lincoln and Omaha Corporate Games. Donations collected in Lincoln will benefit the Food Bank of Lincoln, while donations in Omaha will support Food Bank for the Heartland. Omaha Steaks will match every pound donated up to $10,000, doubling the impact of each contribution.
“The Corporate Games provide an excellent opportunity for companies to promote a healthy lifestyle while strengthening team spirit,” said Ashley Kramer, Director of Operations at the Nebraska Sports Council.
“We’re proud to offer a wide range of events that encourage participation from all employees, making wellness and fun a part of the work culture.”
Companies in both cities compete in divisions based on company size, earning points for participation and performance in each event. Standings are updated regularly on live leaderboards. At the end of the competition, the company with the most points in each division is awarded a title belt. Additionally, individuals who finish in the top three of their division in each event receive medals recognizing their achievements.
